Pittsburgh wins from Seattle Seahawks 21-10 Super Bowl XL - Tiger Woods wins Dubai Desert Classic
Published February 6th, 2006 in home theatreYesterday was a big day for large screen games watching.

The Steelers love trick plays, but in the fourth quarter of a tight Super Bowl? Pete Prisco says the clinching TD pass from Antwaan Randle El to fellow wide receiver Hines Ward was gutsy; that’s why Pittsburgh gets the glory.
It’s called the Vince Lombardi Trophy, symbolic of the championship of the NFL, but on this night it served as the most emphatic endorsement ever for coaching continuity. That’s because when this night ended, the trophy rested in the hands of Bill Cowher, who has the longest tenure with the same team of any coach in the league.
Earlier that day Woods lands Dubai Desert Classic after thrilling play-off with Els
World number one Tiger Woods yesterday (Sunday) won the Dubai Desert Classic at the third attempt after a play-off with defending champion Ernie Els at the Emirates Golf Club.

Woods won the Dubai Desert Classic over Ernie Els on Sunday, forcing a playoff against the defending champion with birdies on the last two holes of regulation to go 19-under.
On the lone playoff hole, the 18th, Woods reached the back of the green in two. Els put his drive into a grove of palm trees, and then hit his second shot into the water protecting the green to end it.
Woods finished with a par and Els declined to putt out after missing his par attempt. “Somehow I got lucky,” Woods said. “Today it was very fortunate because I didn’t really have it, but the other guys didn’t run away either.”
