Hitachi has announced a flat TV strategy that aims to get 30 percent of the global HD PDP TV (high definition Plasma Display Panel television) market by 2007.

Pioneer introduces a new 50 inch 1080p Plasma HDTV at the CES 2006, the PRO-FHD1.
And it will be selling in May for $10,000. So maybe you do not want to wait for a 1080p Plasma TV and go for the “standard” Plasma HDTV, like I did.
