Watch out for this new 42″ PM-4236HD Plasma TV from Norcent Technologies, unveiled recently at the 2006 Consumer Electronics Show. This 16:9 widescreen plasma monitor is capable of displaying 480i, 480p, 720p and 1080i signals.
At a rated brightness of 1100 Cd/square meter, the panel is capable of a maximum resolution of 1024 x 768, delivering close-to-natural pictures for maximum entertainment. The contrast ratio is very high as well, at a rated 10000:1. The TV features a convenient menu interface available in English, French and Spanish.
Inputs to this TV include composite and DVI for sharp color reproduction. Precise color processing is handled by a 3D digital comb filter. Standard features include ‘favorite channel’ and sleep timer. Audio is enhanced by the virtual surround sound function.
