Plasma buyers beware.
I hope the newer plasmas don’t have this problem now but…
I have a 22 month old LG 42″. It’s a lemon! 2 months after purchase I had every electronic module replaced due to overheating, fan mulfuntion and not recognising the remote. That was OK - under warranty!
20 months later suddenly one night a green vertical line appears on my screen. I learn it’s permanent. The screen must be replaced. One of the elecectrodes which charge the plasma gas has malfunctioned!
I have heard the problem occur to others and hear LG admitted faulty parts in the OLD plasmas. I intend to complain.
Please be honest and warn plasma buyers that plasmas can lose whole vertical sections rather than LCDs losing pixels. My Plasma is now worth nothin, I can’t sell and to fix will be more than a new plasma TV.
Not a happy Plasma buyer!
