Mounting your plasma upon the wall
Published January 9th, 2006 in installation, interior, mounting, plasma liftThere are some professional mouting solutions for plasma TVs. One is the recently introduced X-arm by CLO systems. You can find an article on this mount on HomeTheatrePoint Plasmas mounting by CLO Systems the X-arm. CLO did also a market research on these professional mounting products.
There are a number of manufactures that make manual wall mounts such as Peerless, Sanus, Omni-Mount, and Vogel’s.
The wall mount shown below by Sanus is a good example of the manual types of wall mounts that are in the market today, which sell for between $500 - $750.

There are a few manufactures that make motorized lifts that lowers and raises a flat panel from a ceiling. These motorized lifts are also incorporated into furniture where the flat panel pops up. A good example of a pop-up lift is shown below which is manufactured by Chief. This unit sells for about $4,000.

The market size of the wall mounting bracket will naturally grow with the popularity of flat panel TVs. Based on the research done by Consumer Electronic Association (CEA) and others in the industry, we estimate that somewhere between 6 million and 8 million units of wall mounting brackets will be sold in U.S. alone in the next 3 years.
