Pioneer introduces a new 50 inch 1080p Plasma HDTV at the CES 2006, the PRO-FHD1.
And it will be selling in May for $10,000. So maybe you do not want to wait for a 1080p Plasma TV and go for the “standard” Plasma HDTV, like I did.
According to Pioneer: “To date, most HD televisions have offered 720 progressive lines of resolution or 1080 interlaced lines of resolution. While both offer excellent HDTV viewing, the newest televisions with 1080 progressive lines of resolution are by far superior, bringing high definition television to a new dimension.”
Yes this maybe true, but the price. This was something I already noted before on the Pioneer PDP-4360HD. Pricing is becomming an issue for Pioneer. That is one of the points I decided for the Hitachi 42PD7200
